University management according to the principles of sustainable development goals

The article considers the activity of People’s Friendship University of Russia for 2021 in terms of the implementation of certain tasks of the sustainable development goals, proposed by the United Nations. We describe the following aspects as the programs of the main and additional education that constitute goal 4 “Quality education”; innovation projects and new aspects of the university’s infrastructure according to goal 9 “Industrialization, innovation and infrastructure”; co-operation of the university and the city that constitute goal 11 “Sustainable cities and settlements”; joint activities with Russian and foreign partners and RUDN membership in associations according to goal 17 “Partnership for sustainable development”, university environmental policy of internal (training and promotion of green approaches, effective use of resources, creating a barrier-free environment) and external orientation (joint environmental activities with other universities and the city, modernization of the university campus). The subject of the analysis is successful practices in formulating objectives and their implementation for sustainable development. The research methodology involves the generalization of information, obtained from official sources and RUDN case studies for 2021. We propose the main conclusions and recommendations, which may be of interest in the construction of the development policy of the university and secondary special educational institution, as well as public organizations of different types.
