Supply Chain Quality Management in Mechanical Engineering Using IoT, Blockchain, and Digital Twins

Free access

The modern concept of Industry 4.0, based on the integration of all technological processes into a single digital network, requires high-quality supplies. Minor deviations in the supply chain can lead to serious problems: delays in product release, equipment downtime, and reduced quality of finished products. In particularly complex production cycles managed by ERP systems, even minor disruptions can cause large-scale production shutdowns. This increases operating and production costs. The purpose of this article is to analyze the feasibility of integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) with the blockchain-based digital twin concept into a unified digital architecture to improve supply chain quality, taking into account the specifics of mechanical engineering.
