The study presents the theoretical and sociological interpretation of the concepts describing the essence of HR capacity management. The author highlights such basic concepts as human resources, capacity, HR capacity, HR capacity management. Analyzing the approaches to study the nature of HR capacity, the author defines the scope of study and the characteristics of its sociological analysis. It is concluded that HR capacity of the organization is not the sum of the individual capabilities of the employees. Their interaction results in a new quality which can be composed of the elements. The author emphasizes that HR capacity is a part of human resources and not vice versa. This is the main approach to its sociological dimension in the organization. The research reveals that HR capacity can be reviewed as an emergent reality as it is able to be fulfilled only within the organization.
