Managing the intergenerational conflict in the educational space of the university

The problem of intergenerational conflict in Russian society, which is based on the blurring of identity, is considered. The purpose of the study is to theoretically and experimentally determine the main directions of managing intergenerational conflict in the educational space. The study was conducted in the 2020–2021 academic year and involved more than 300 students of Novosibirsk. It is revealed that the majority of young people share the basic values of their parents and critically assess their generation. The authors propose areas of work in the university on the management of intergenerational conflicts. Its implementation may contribute to the restoration of socio-cultural continuity of generations: increasing the communicative competence of students in the framework of training sessions; strengthening the ethnic, gender, family, professional identity of students through the dissemination of scientific knowledge about the family, personal development, the history of their country and world history.
