Managing student motivation in the educational process: modern techniques

A modern methodology is considered that allows you to manage the motivation of students of a higher educational institution. This technique was developed by the American researcher J. Keller. It is based on four principles: attention, relevance, confidence, satisfaction. The results of a study that confirmed the effectiveness of the application of the methodology at Smolensk State University are presented. The need to improve the methodology tools to ensure its relevance in the modern educational process is substantiated.
