Relevance. Among scientists and practitioners, there is no doubt about the profile value of the physical training process in the structure of professional training of cadets and trainees of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. A significant amount of accumulated scientific and methodological-applied information on various aspects of the process of physical training of students has determined the need to generalize the basic determinants of its organization. At the same time, it is necessary, first of all, to determine the methodological foundations of this theoretical and practice-oriented work. In this regard, the choice was made on the fundamental principles of the theory and management of professional activity of a person, meaningfully correlated with the main aspects of the material presented in the article. The article summarizes the data describing the experience of organizing the process of physical training in the Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Education "Krasnodar University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation" (hereinafter referred to as KRDU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia). The purpose of the study is to generalize the results that characterize the essential features of the process of physical training of students within the framework of the provisions of the theory of management of professional activity of a person. Research methods - analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical, psychological and psycho-physiological testing, forming pedagogical experiments, methods of mathematical statistics. The results of this work allow us to formulate the following conclusions: First, the methodological basis for organizing the basic components of the process of physical training of cadets and students of the KRDU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia are the provisions of the theory of management of professional activity of a person. Secondly, the structure of the components described in the framework of the control theory functionally correlates with the compositional construction of an integral pedagogical process for determining the composition of projective attitudes, means and methods for developing the student's motor and motor potential and evaluating their achievements in the course of physical training. Third, the results of many years of work done make it possible to achieve a high level of physical fitness of cadets and trainees, ensuring a high quality of performance of a wide range of official duties.
