Management of rural tourism development in Stavropol krai

In the Russian Federation, tourism has become one of the directions of economic development in many regions. The development of domestic forms of tourism and recreation, including rural tourism, has become particularly important for the socio-economic well-being of the subjects of the Russian Federation, and the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has only contributed to increased attention to this segment of the tourist market. The coronavirus pandemic stimulated the reorientation of the tourist flow from the city to the countryside and a new round of rural tourism development in Russia. Project management in the field of tourism and hospitality has an impact on the labor market, the expansion of entrepreneurial activity, and also leads to the redistribution of public goods, a change in the direction of investment income, stimulation and the emergence of new non-standard technologies. The purpose of the article is to theoretically summarize the recommendations and develop an innovative project to the TRL2 level aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of rural tourism in Stavropol Krai. The object of the study is the territories of Stavropol Krai and the agricultural sector of the South of Russia. Scientific significance is in the clarifying content and role of the rural tourism sustainable development and formulating the main horizons of tourism development in Stavropol Krai until 2035. The authors identify and systematize the factors affecting the development of rural tourism management in the territory of the region and an innovative project up to the TRL2 level aimed at ensuring sustainable development of eco-, agro- and rural tourism of the Stavropol Krai. The practical significance of the work is in solving the actual applied problem of using project management to ensure sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas. This will make it possible to elaborate comprehensive agricultural policy measures aimed at the development of rural tourism and rural territories of the Stavropol Krai.
