Management of independent work of students

The fundamental component of independent work is the management of its organization and quality, the creation of an optimal educational environment in which a positive learning outcome is based on a positive attitude of subjects to learning, generating new incentives and motives for their cognitive activity. The article reveals the features of independent work, analyzes the causes and factors that cause difficulties in the organization and implementation of independent work by students. The main functions of managing students’ independent work are considered, such as: goal-setting, planning, implementation and regulation of the process of independent work, comprehensive analysis and evaluation of students’ independent work. Their essence and content are revealed. The implementation of managerial functions is possible under certain conditions: purposefulness, systematic and timely monitoring of the results of independent work; a variety of applied types of independent work, their combination, which allows developing interest, creativity, increasing motivation and stimulating the independent activity of students, developing independence and taking initiative; the use of multi-level tasks, the maximum consideration of the individual abilities and cognitive capabilities of students; the use of various forms and methods of independent work.
