Exercises based on the material of the word-formation nest in the lessons of the Russian language in elementary grades

The article discusses the possibilities of using the word-formation nest as a language material in the process of studying the composition of words and word formation in elementary school. Pedagogical practice and analysis of textbooks of the Russian language have shown that the word-formation nest is practically not considered in primary classes. Some textbook exercises for observation and analysis mainly use groups of single-root words, word-formation pairs. The analysis of word-formation nests, the solution of lexical and word-formation tasks will contribute to the awareness of word-formation facts by younger schoolchildren, the laws of word formation.
