Urban Health: The Power of Some AI-Based Technologies to Improve Health

This article examines the potential of AI technologies to improve urban health outcomes in the face of global challenges such as the pandemic, an aging population, a shortage of healthcare workers, and accelerating urbanization. Based on a review of international experience, the authors identify and compare models and developments for implementing AI technologies in Russia, China, Europe, and the United States. The study’s results demonstrate the unique approaches of each region. The research covers key areas of urban health: medicine, healthy lifestyles, transportation, the environment, and safety. The authors conclude that, despite significant investment, there remains a need to develop a unified methodology for assessing the effectiveness of artificial intelligence technologies for urban health at the regional and global levels.
