Objective: to compare the levels of "new" biomarkers of systemic inflammation between groups of patients with paroxysmal and persistent forms of atrial fibrillation (AF). Material and methods. The study included 232 patients diagnosed with AF who underwent the primary procedure of pulmonary vein ablation. The average age was 62 (54;67) years. Patients were divided into two groups: with paroxysmal and persistent forms of AF.
