Level-based analytical work with educational and scientific texts of police discourse

The article presents the main characteristics of analytical work with educational and scientific texts of police discourse in a foreign language (English). The author clarifies the key concepts of the study, explains the relevance of analytical work with a professional scientific text for students of educational organizations of the higher education system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, describes the developed algorithm for the level analysis of educational and scientific texts of police discourse, taking into account its stages of work of different levels of complexity, as well as the main blocks: general scientific (methodological), content-scientific (informative), analytical and communicative, their actualization in the mechanism of pointing to objects of legal reality. The research methods are analysis, synthesis, and a systematic approach. It is noted that the study of an educational and scientific text of a professional nature through the proposed algorithm for the level analysis of educational and scientific texts of the police discourse can be one of the ways of linguistic work in the academic discipline «Foreign Language», contributing to a detailed understanding of the educational and scientific text of the police discourse, which can act as a good basis for further professional work with scientific texts related to the research of special disciplines in the framework of adjunct studies and writing scientific papers.
