The article aims to identify the levels of digital transformation in teaching future engineers a foreign language. Tactical and strategic are considered to be such levels. The tactical level is related to the utilisation of various means to organise students' learning activities. At the strategic level, the emotional and intellectual interaction between participants of the teaching and learning process, formation and development of future engineers’ professional and personal characteristics are carried out. The analysis of scientific literature and practice results obtained through interdisciplinary research projects provide the basis for the dependence of pedagogical tactics on the pedagogical strategies chosen. This should be taken into account when developing original education solutions.
