Damage from Economic Crime (review of statistics based on Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs data)

This article examines the level of economic crime as one indicator of economic security, according to the National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation. It presents the latest changes to criminal legislation, as well as data on the level of damage from economic crimes over the past five years. Assessing the damage caused by economic crimes requires a comprehensive approach that reflects not only criminal statistics but also compares these figures with other financial and budgetary indicators in the country, as well as determines the real social consequences of economic crime.
