Conditions conducive to proper performance of a specialist’s professional duties in criminal proceedings

The article defines the persons who are assigned by the legislator the performance of professional duties in the course of their participation in criminal proceedings. The motivation to their proper behavior is noted. The circumstances interfering the proper performance of professional duties by a specialist in a criminal case are determined. The experience of using specialists by investigative bodies of Russia and Belarus is highlighted. Means to ensure the proper performance of professional duties by a specialist during his participation in procedural actions in a criminal case are established. Recommendations on creating the necessary conditions that will allow the specialist to properly fulfill his/her professional duties in a criminal case are formulated.
