Advanced technology for obtaining the protein feed from sunflower seeds (oil cake)

To obtain the oil cake, industrial single-screw extruders are used. The disadvantage of many existing production technologies is the complexity of the process. Recently, in the feed industry, the requirements for improving the technology of obtaining the protein feedfrom sunflower seeds have been continuously increasing. One of the options for improving the technology is the combination of two operations (post-harvest processing of a heap of sunflower seeds and its extrusion). This will increase the nutritional value of the oil cake and is the goal of the research. In order to increase the nutritional value of protein feed, in particular sunflower cake, a special method for its production and a technological line for its implementation have been developed. This technological line allows obtaining non-waste production of oilseeds and their processing by cleaning in air-screen cleaning machines.
