Гуар Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L.) Taub. - тропическая однолетняя бобовая культура многоцелевого использования, перспективная для выращивания на юге России. В представленном обзоре обсуждается проблема устойчивости генетических ресурсов гуара к болезням и вредителям. Наиболее вредоносные болезни C. tetragonoloba - альтернариозная пятнистость (возбудитель Alternaria cyamopsidis Rangaswami & Rao) и бактериоз ( Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. cyamopsidis (Patel) Vauterin). Повсеместному и быстрому распространению заболеваний способствует сохранение инфекции в семенах. Устойчивость гуара к A. cyamopsidis не связана с анатомо-мор-фологическими особенностями растений. Степень поражения листьев альтернариозом зависит прежде всего от инсоляции, минимальной температуры воздуха, количества осадков и относительной влажности воздуха в вечернее время (M.S.
