Adoption of children by foreign citizens on the example of the "Law of Dima Yakovlev"

This article examines the problems of adoption of Russian children by foreign citizens. As an example, the "Law of Dima Yakovlev" and its reflection on the well-being of children-citizens of the Russian Federation and foreign families who want to find a child are given. The conditions, procedure, regulation of the adoption of Russian children are directly defined in the Family Code of the Russian Federation. It is this Federal Law that has priority, and subsequently the norms of international law are taken into account.
