Prenatal care, labour management and postpartum maintenance of patients with artificial heart valve

Pregnancy and delivery in women with artificial heart valve are usually associated with high risk. The question of prenatal care of women with artificial heart valve remains one of the most complex ones for cardiologists and obstetrician- gynecologists all over the world. Pregnancy is a stress for organism: herewith there is a possibility of not only the progression of cardiac pathology, but also manifestation of subclinical running hereditary thrombophilia and/or antiphospholipid syndrome: herewith the risk of thromboembolic episodes increases manifold. Questions of prenatal care, method of childbirth having an artificial valve heart are considered.
