Teaching a student of non-language specialities a foreign language is currently considered as a means to transfer socially and professionally significant information to the students, to drill skills to use foreign-language sources in their professional activity, to prepare them for continuous education. In this connection the author addresses the issues of motivation and finding leading motives in training specialists to use a foreign language.
