One of the most characteristic features of the Gogol writer`s skill is masterly use repeats. Repeat in its various forms is a very common feature of Russian dialogic speech. A characteristic feature of the repeats is that they are always brightly colored expressive with meaning approval or denial of combined expression of a living response to what is said. Conclusion: the types of repeats in the text of Gogol's Comedy "Marriage" is extremely diverse. This are amplifier lexical repetitions (allied and conjunctionless, replays with the particles) and repetition of contextual synonyms, and syntactic repetition.
