Victimological aspects of crime at railway, water and air transport facilities of the Russian Federation

The article is devoted to one of the important criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of criminological support for the preventive activities of internal affairs bodies - the characteristic of victimological aspects of crime. The authors carried out a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the victims of criminal attacks on transport facilities of the Russian Federation for the period from 2016 to 2020. The structure of criminal victimization at transport facilities in Russia, its trends and patterns are studied. It is proved that managerial decisions in the field of crime prevention should be based on the analysis of victimological indicators of crime and forecasts of the possible development of the victimological situation. The article found its assessment of the motives of criminal encroachments on transport facilities and the results of sociological studies conducted to clarify the opinion on the level of protection of the individual from criminal encroachments on railway, water and air transport facilities in Russia. On the basis of the study, the categories of persons are determined, the preventive impact on which should be a priority for the subjects of preventive activities, as well as the types of criminal attacks, the minimization of which will reduce the level of victimization of the population at the transport facilities of the Russian Federation.
