Victimological counseling in domestic violence cases as a tool of personal safety

This article focuses on the understanding of national security as measures providing the normal functioning of the society, correcting potential dangers in the crime-fighting situation. It concerns the safety of family, which is damaged by the domestic violence. The author focuses not only on external factors determining domestic violence, but on internal factors determining the dynamics in crimes related to domestic violence - the unconscious attitudes of the victim, realized as a “victim scenario”. The author draws attention to the reasons for the low effectiveness of victimological domestic violence prevention, because victim behavior cannot be corrected without victim unconscious understanding. Therefore, it is proposed to introduce a system of professional victimological counseling, which creates incentives for solving intra-family problems and professions. Therefore, it is proposed to develop the system of victimological counseling, which creates incentives for resolving intra-family problems and professionally respond to “the victim’s pattern”. To improve this direction it is possible to construct family rehabilitation programs for both the aggressor and the victim.
