Vitalism in Russian literature of the first half of the XIXth century

The article focuses on the existence of the concept of “life” and its enhanced version of “lively life” in Russian literature of the 20s-40s of the 19th century - in the works of Zhukovskiy, Gogol, Belinskiy, Bakunin, Odoevskiy, and slavophiles. The paper clarifies penetration sources of the concept of “lively life” into the national culture. It is noted that the concept in focus was used by the representatives of various literary and socio-political trends to express the most important for them ideas and values.
