Visualizing of information through mind maps

We consider mental mapping of information, which is a process of structuring and visualizing data related to a specific area of knowledge. This way of describing information is called mind maps. It makes it easier to comprehend, summarize, structure and remember data. However, there is an opinion that such a description is very subjective and more reliable criteria and methods for assessing the content of maps are required. It is concluded that frequent revision of maps indicates the author’s openness and interest in deepening his knowledge in the area under consideration. As the dimensionality of data description increases, the possibility of creating new map options increases. Most of the changes made occur as a result of expansion, clarification, specialization, contextualization, integration, restructuring, simplification, reconsidering the relationships between key concepts in already created maps.
