The purpose of the study was to identify the features of conducting methods of visual diagnostics in some species of reptiles. The material used was the following reptile species: red-eared turtles; snakes - python, boa constrictor; lizard-agama. Specific fixation methods in reptiles have their own algorithm and analysis of the research were used. Radiography can diagnose the pathology of the skeleton, many parenchymal organs, large vessels and the reproductive system of females. Ultrasound diagnosis is applicable for the detection of liver and kidney pathologies in snakes. This method is especially useful for studying the organs of the reproductive system of females: by monitoring the activity of the ovaries, maturing eggs, etc. This type of research has its own peculiarities in the installation of sensors and restrictions on the size of the animal, which primarily affects the turtles.
