The Aim of this study was to assess the level of physical activity in physical education lessons in high school. These data were reviewed in relation to recommended levels of physical activity to determine whether physical education can be effective in helping young people achieve health-related goals. The study involved 62 boys and 60 girls (aged 12-15 years). Students with high abilities were more active than students with medium and low abilities. Students in moderate and vigorous physical activity participated for the most part during team games, while the lowest level of vigorous physical activity was observed during physical activity. Physical education can make a greater contribution to the regular physical development of young people.
