The impact of digitalization on the development of tourism industry enterprises

The article examines and analyzes the impact of digital transformation on the economic efficiency of the Russian tourism sector of the economy, through the introduction of technologies such as big data analysis, artificial intelligence, and a wide range of digital marketing tools into the business models of companies in the industry. Despite the obvious potential benefits, the degree of impact of digitalization on economic efficiency in the tourism industry remains insufficiently studied. The analysis was conducted through surveys and interviews with the management of 28 companies in the industry. The results show improved operational efficiency, cost reduction, customer satisfaction and revenue growth, as well as improved government regulation practices in the industry. However, problems remain with data security and digital fairness. The study highlights the crucial role of strategic digital integration in promoting sustainable tourism development.
