The article assesses the role of marketplaces in the context of the development of platform trading in the context of compliance with the requirements of the digital economy. The author notes the need to improve the conceptual apparatus of the Russian legislation on consumer protection and competition protection. The criteria for market monopolization in the activities of digital platforms are studied, and ways to resolve controversial issues of legal regulation are proposed. The author draws attention to the controversial issues of the relationship between the carbon and "green" economy. The features of the Russian national approach to the modernization of environmental infrastructure in a digital society are revealed. The article analyzes foreign experience in the development of digital infrastructure in the USA, EU, China.
