This study represents an attempt to shift the research focus from technological and legal aspects typically associated with forgeries to phenomenological analyses that explore the fundamental impact of falsified data on human perception, consciousness, and trust in information. The emphasis is placed on examining phenomena such as deepfakes and post-truth, which have actively disseminated their influence in modern society. The novelty of the research lies in considering these as “discordant images” that challenge the internal structures of human perception, leading to the creation of false narratives indistinguishable from reality. The work contributes to interdisciplinary discourse on media literacy, digital ethics, and truth preservation, setting a new precedent for future studies intersecting philosophy, technology, and media. The aim of this study is to examine scholars’ positions regarding deepfakes in the era of post-truth and to identify the specific influence of both phenomena on collective consciousness. This entails conducting a phenomenological analysis based on studying individuals’ reactions to the information presented.
