Impact of globalization on gender as an example Circassian culture

The article focuses on the mechanisms globalization exploits to influence the culture of Adigs in the historical retrospective and also on the nature of the present-day crisis that arose because of it. The author draws our attention first of all to the laws that the Russian rule established in North Caucasus. Second, to the partial transfer from agrarian to industrial society, from the estate-class economic structure to the communist one. Then, the implementation of scientific and technical progress is being described. Based on the study material, the author comes to the following conclusions: there has been a considerable influence of the above-mentioned facts on social-sexual roles; it is not possible to return to the traditional genders in our modern times; conservative tendencies are not only counter-productive, but also cause the common crisis among representatives of traditional culture, including the culture of Adigs.
