In the last 13 years soybean sowings were increased in 24.6 times in Ukraine. The global and local climate changes in Ukraine have caused significant changes in the placement of soybean sowings in soil and climatic zones: sowing areas under soybean decreased in Steppe zone, but increased in Forest-steppe and Polesie. Soybean yield in the country increased in 2.1 times (up to 21.6 centners per ha), and mainly the growth was observed in Forest-steppe and Polesie. The soybean production has increased in 52.4 times, including 1435 times in Polesie, 74.9 times in the Forest-steppe, and 15.6 times in Steppe zones. The main soybean production has moved from the Steppe zone (53.6 %) into the Forest-steppe (65.4 %), and now 2/3 of the soybean production is placed in the Forest-steppe zone. It is expected that by 2017 the soybean sowing area will increase up to 2 mln hectares in the country, that will be an important factor in increasing of food resources.
