The effects of two immunomodulator drugs on development of chronic opiate dependence were studied in Wistar rats and OXYS rat strains, characterized by alterations in the behavior and immune reactions. It was shown that OXYS rats were highly sensitive to morphine and showed accelerated development of chronic dependence. T- aktivin or myelopid administration significantly increased a period necessary for the formation of opiate dependence both in Wistar and OXYS rats without any influence on the amount of drug consumed. Glycine, being a part of myelopid, did not influence the time necessary for development of chronic dependence. Above mentioned immunomodulators changed also the parameters of OXYS rat's behavior in the «open-field» test. The mechanisms of the obtaining effects have been were discussed.
