Impact of the environmental limitations on the development of small entrepreneurship in the Republic of Buryatia

Nowadays there is a serious problem that concerns the ecological situation in the region. The Republic of Buryatia is located in the Baikal natural territory. Due to this fact there are environmental restrictions and prohibitions for the conduction of economic activity. They are reflected in the Federal Act (Concerning the protection of Lake Baikal: Federal Act), which sets limits and prohibitions on many kinds of economic activity within the Baikal natural territory. Small-sized business entities get both positive and negative effects of these restrictions. The article discusses the environmental limitations, their impact on the development of small entrepreneurship in the region and possible solutions of the present situation.
