The use of aerobic means to reduce body weight in boxing during the competitive period

The problem of finding new approaches to weight loss for athletes in sports where there is a gradation into weight categories is urgent. This article examines the effectiveness of using an interval training complex with elements of boxing aerobics in order to reduce body weight in the competitive period at the early start stage. The paper presents the set of exercises and the results of the dynamics of body weight, muscle mass and fat percentage before and after the pedagogical experiment. The experimental results confirm that the use of an interval training complex with elements of boxing aerobics allows you to reduce body weight by reducing body water content and fat percentage, without losing muscle mass.
