Effect of Herbastor feed additive on productivity and egg quality of laying hens

This paper presents the results of studies conducted on the feasibility of using HerbaStor phytobiotic feed additive in egg production technology to increase egg production and the quality of the obtained food eggs of laying hens of the Brown Nick cross. The analysis of the results showed that the use of the studied drug to laying hens during the study period contributed to stimulating their egg production and improving the quality characteristics of eggs in all experimental groups. At the end of the experiment, the best results were obtained in the second experimental group, where the HerbaStor feed additive was administered at a dose of 0.7 kg of the drug per ton of feed. There was an increase in egg production per initial and average laying hen by 4.0 %, an increase in average egg weight by 3.6 %, absolute protein weight by 5.6 %, yolk weight by 6.1 %, shell weight by 2.6 % and a positive dynamic in the intensity of egg production of laying hens of the experimental group in comparison with the control. The obtained results clearly prove the need to use this feed additive in industrial poultry farming to increase egg production and the quality of food eggs of laying hens during the entire reproductive period.
