The analysis of the comparative performance characteristics of the reproduction of Russian heavy draft mares breed depending on the methods of selection. It was found that the mare produced without the use of inbreeding had better scores reproduction than mare obtained with inbreeding, which confirmed the results of statistical processing of data.
