The Impact of Individualized Learning Methods on the Development of Student Personality

The article considers individualization of learning as the formation of a new paradigm of education, reflecting the trend of society’s development towards the individualization of personality. The article provides the characteristics of certain approaches to implementing the principles of individualization, analyzes the impact of student’s subjective activity on the formation of his/her character and personality. A hypothesis about the influence of specific approaches to individualization of learning on student’s personality development is formulated and substantiated. The article concludes that social and socio-political factors have contributed to the revival of interest in the individualization of education in Russia. It also highlights certain features of the implementation of individualization principles in the Russian education system.
