The influence of international citation indices on the formation of a higher school teacher

The purpose of this article is to study the influence of international citation indices on the formation of a higher school teacher. The author has studied the concept, functions and types of international citation indexes. I considered their influence on the significance of the research of a higher school teacher and the main directions of the formation of a higher school teacher. I analyzed the relationship of international citation indices with the professional realization of a higher school teacher. The key method of research is the study and analysis of scientific literature on a given topic. Research hypothesis-international citation indexes play an important role in indicating the importance of independent research of a higher school teacher, which is one of the main directions of his professional development.
