The article discusses the use of silica micro additives within the active mineral additives, in the the form of a sol and silica gel, to modify the cement and concrete based on it. Introduction of silica microadditives accelerates not only cement hydration and hardening in the early stage of hardening, but also significantly improves the strength characteristics of cement stone.
