The purpose of research is to study the features of the microstructure of the surface of various injection needles and their effect on the subsequent restoration of biological tissues at the injection site. The study was conducted on the basis of an innovative research and testing center for collective use of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Oryol State Agrarian University named after N.V. Parakhin”. When scanning using a Hitachi TM-1000 scanning electron microscope, the surface of the tip of a disposable injection needle with a black plastic base for a disposable syringe with a volume of 5 cm3, which, after being removed from the package, was deliberately pierced with a medical rubber stopper in an antibiotic vial, large quantities of relatively large particles were found. Obviously, this is a set of microparticles of the rubber stopper of the vial, which reached a size of up to 60×250 μm and were relatively reliably held by the silicone lubricant of the needle. In this case, the microparticles of the rubber stopper can be brought deep into the tissues of the animal when they are punctured by these injection needles during the introduction of medicinal solutions into them. The use of these needles in performing an injection is not permissible. Microbending of the tip of the injection needle tip towards its cut was also established. Zones with lower electron density were revealed on the cut surface of the tip of the needle, occupying up to ¼ of the entire surface of the product located in the field of the scan. In order to reduce the frequency of formation of post-injection abscesses, it is advisable to exclude the use of disposable injection needles for puncturing patient tissues, which were used to dilute drugs and a set of drug solutions in a disposable syringe. For a set from an ampoule or a vial, one disposable injection needle should be used in the syringe barrel of the injection form of drugs; for injection into a disposable intravenous drip infusion system or for injection into an animal - another disposable injection needle. It is also advisable to produce disposable sterile syringes with two injection needles in one package.
