The effect of the mineral supplement "Vermiculite" on the quality of quail meat

The purpose of our study was to determine the chemical composition and content of toxic elements in quail meat, as well as to identify the effect of mineral additives on changes in the mass of internal organs. The results of the analysis showed that the introduction of Vermiculite in a dose of 3 % of the main diet into quail feed does not have a negative impact on the quality of meat, contributes to the improvement of metabolism. The content of toxic substances in the studied meat samples of both groups is not exceeded the permissible values regulated by TR CU 021/2011 Technical Regulations of the Customs Union "On food safety". The introduction of vermiculite into the diet of quails had a positive effect on the mass of internal organs, which indicates an improvement in metabolic processes in the body of the bird.
