The effect of montmorillonite containing drug on the growth, development and safety of piglets

Бесплатный доступ

The purpose of the experiment was to study the effect of montmorillonite on metabolic processes, growth, development and morbidity of large white piglets from the moment of weaning to delivery to the meat processing plant. The study of the digestibility of the main nutrients did not reveal a negative effect of montmorillonite on the reduction of the latter, moreover, in all experimental groups it was higher than in the control. The use of montmorillonite increased the safety of livestock, reduced the recovery time of diseased piglets, increased average daily gains and nutrient absorption. 0.5 % addition of montmorillonite-containing clay to the total diet is the optimal dose based on the data obtained.
