The influence of professional activity on some gender peculiarities of the personality of the preliminary investigation units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia employees

Introduction. With the development of modern society, including the recognition of gender equality, the women's choice of professions traditionally considered masculine (military and law enforcement personnel, firefighters, etc.), it becomes necessary to study the influence of professional activity on the personality of a specialist and its development. Materials and Methodical Toolkit. The MMPI technique (as modified by F. B. Berezin) for the study of the masculinity / femininity of female and male investigators, as well as a multilateral personality study. KOS-2 methodology for studying the organizational and communicative inclinations development level. The SAMOAL technique (A. V. Lazurkin in the adaptation of N. F. Kalin) for studying the process of self-improvement and the development of the investigator's personality. The D. A. Leontiev test of life-meaning orientations for the study of the investigator's personality orientation form. The study was conducted on the basis of the Department of Internal Affairs in the Central Administrative District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow with the participation of 45 women and 57 men. Results of Survey. The study revealed an increase in femininity in male investigators and masculinity in female investigators, as well as the effect of masculinity / femininity on the personal characteristics of employees. There are statistically significant differences between groups of employees: female investigators identify themselves as people capable of building their lives in accordance with their goals, while male investigators consider it impossible to control their own lives. The professional activities of employees of the preliminary investigation units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia influence on the personality of the employees, resulting in some feminine traits manifestation in the behavior of male investigators, along with masculine ones. Some masculine traits along with feminine ones are revealed among female investigators. Conclusions. The influence of professional activity on the gender characteristics of the preliminary investigation units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia employees testifies the masculinization of female investigators and the feminization of male investigators.
