Impact of various factors on population health

In our previous work (Rimashevskaya NM, Budilova EV, Migranova LA, Terekhin AT Public Health Problems of the Population of Modern Russia // Population, 2006. № 4), devoted to the analysis of health Muscovites, integral health factors were revealed. This allowed us to characterize the situation with the health of Muscovites in general. However, some important details of the cause-and-effect mechanisms determining health were not disclosed. This paper is devoted precisely to this problem. It also complements the results published in the monograph "The Saving of the People" (edited by NM Rimashevskaya, Moscow: Nauka, 2007) regarding the disclosure of the structure of the influence on health of various socio-economic and environmental factors.
