Based on the hydroxyl emission spectral observations ((6-2) 834 nm band) in Eastern Siberia (ISTP SB RAS Geophysical Observatory, 52° N, 103° E) in 2008-2011, and in European Russia (IAP RAS Zvenigorod Research Station, 55.7° N, 36.8° E) in 2000-2011, we revealed statistically significant variations in mesopause temperature and its interdiurnal and nighttime variability. As temperature variability parameters, we took its standard deviations by which one can analyze seasonal activities of planetary waves, of tides, and of internal gravity waves. Comparison of the results obtained in considered regions revealed higher values of seasonal variation parameters and mesopause temperature variability in Eastern Siberia.
