The experiment shows the effect of different dosages of herbal supplements on the balance of calcium and phosphorus in the body of calves of the milk period. Analyzing the results of the experiment, it follows that the animals of all experimental groups had a positive balance of macronutrients. However, in heifers who received, in addition to the main diet, a phyto-supplement from sandy sainfoin, higher rates were recorded compared to the control group that received the main diet. It has been proven that the use of phyto-supplements to young cattle in the amount of 0.150 kg and 0.300 kg per head per day has a positive effect on the bioavailability of calcium and phosphorus from the diet. In the second experimental group, which received in addition to the main diet 0.300 kg of calcium phytonutrients, more deposits were deposited compared to the control group by 1.87 g and 1.18 g more than in the first experimental group. Also, in the body of heifers of the 2nd experimental group, phosphorus was deposited by 1.75 g more than in the control group and by 0.68 g more than in the 1st experimental group.
