Impact of social network services on users’ emotional experiences: sociological aspect

Nowadays, social networks are widely recognized as important in people’s lives because they meet different needs of individuals: they can be a way to earn a “living”, a convenient way to communicate, a source of entertainment and just a way to pass the time. In the process of interacting with each other in social networks, users undergo various experiences that determine their emotional states and are a natural reaction to the information received in the process of Internet communication. In addition, the techniques used by the other side of the interaction in the social network, the translation of personal life values and beliefs in the digital space can also be a reason for the manifestation of emotions by users. Understanding the essence, sources and direction of these processes seems to be important for modern sociological science in terms of understanding the specifics of everyday life and correcting destructive situations caused by the lack of control over emotions.
