Anxiety influence on pregnancy and delivery course in women of extreme age groups

The aim of the present study is pregnancy and delivery course studying in extremely aged women with a different anxiety level. we studied pregnancy and delivery course in 80 primipara young women, aged 17.2±1.4 years (i group) and in 80 primipara old women aged 35.6±2.2 years (ii group) and in 80 primipara women of favorable age (24.5±1.8 years, iii group). the iii group was control group. following data were obtained: high anxiety level predominated in patients of i and ii groups. pregnancy and delivery course was accompanied by large number of complications in all women having high anxiety level. abortion risk, icn, anemia and primary weakness of labor activity, clinically contracted pelvis prevailed were verealed especially in i group. early pregnancy toxemia, combined and serious gestosis forms, chronic fetoplacental failure, foetus intrauterine growth retardation and in labor antenatal moving of amniotic fluid away and uterine bleeding predominated in the ii group.
