Influence of packaging materials and ethylene absorber on organoleptic indicators of zucchini and tomatoes during storage

The article presents the results of studying the influence of some types of packaging materials (including StePac Xtend bags that create a modified atmosphere) used in conjunction with an Inter Fresh ethylene absorber (sachets) on changes of organoleptic indicators of zucchini cv. Alexandria and tomatoes cv. Inkas during storage for 14 days at a temperature of 8-10 °С and air relative humidity of 90±3%. In the course of the studies, it was found that the storage of tomatoes and zucchini in Xtend bags with an Inter Fresh ethylene absorber provides a higher quality of fresh produce after storage under the indicated conditions.
